You heard me.

A lot of authors have fans. Many have devoted, wonderful readers, who will reach out to tell us that they’ve just stumbled upon a line they didn’t remember having read before and it made their day, or who want us to know we made them cry, but it was a good cry, and they feel better now.

Some of us, though–the luckiest of us–make friends through this business. True friends. The kinds of friends who will leave us snarky comments in the margins of our books, or totally and completely rearrange them in printed pages on the floor.

Or make a cross stitch sampler with a goofy thing we said once, in a video. With humping bunnies.

DUDE. HUMPING BUNNIES. AND ZOOM IN IF YOU CAN’T SEE THE FLOGGER.

(Yes. I said flogger.)

I talk about how lucky I am to have Wendy at my back all the time, but man, this is like–it’s one thing when someone gets your books. It’s another when they’re inspired enough to create something kind of sort of influenced by you, or your words, or whatever. (I’m all flustered trying to describe this. Er. Shut up. I’m not blushing. SHUT UP.)

ANYWAY. As I was saying, Wendy made this amazing thing, and now, due to popular demand, and because it’s only polite to share the humping bunny love, she’s made the pattern that goes along with it.

People who know how much work that takes are like, Holy shit, that’s amazing. People who don’t know anything about patterning are like, Oh. Nice.

Since I know you’ve always secretly wanted to make a cross stitch sampler of humping bunnies, I present to you: General Wendy’s pattern for “Porny Bits and Plot Bunnies.”

With, as always, my deep appreciation for Wendy. And, of course, all the humping plot bunnies she brings into my life. (That’s no joke. Those little fuckers breed.)
